Walking group

The weekly walks are running very well, set up in association with Groundwork and North Wales Outdoor Challenge. The sessions take place every Thursday 11.00am-12.00pm starting from the welfare and walking to and around a risk assessed route in Alyn Waters Country Park. The walk is aimed at currently inactive people and lasts for 1 hour. We are hoping to introduce Nordic Walking soon to this group.

5-a-Side Football League - You've Got To Be In It To Win It!

An exciting and competitive mini 5-a-Side Football League commenced this month (Jan 08) on the excellent astro-pitch at the Llay Miners Welfare. It is offered to its members and members of the local community. Once league matches have finished, players can sit back, relax, and enjoy a well deserved drink at the Welfare bar. There are six teams registered in the league and fixtures are held weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm. For those teams who are registered in the league, full list of fixtures and results are available in the attachment. If, for some reason or the other, your team cannot play a certain fixture(s), contact Darren asap on 01978 297366 so that the other team(s) can be notified. Teams that cancel will automatically forefeit their match(es).
