Restoration Work Restarts

After the being granted £163,000 from the Community Facilities and Activities Programme (CFAP) work has been able to restart on the restoration of the rear of the building. The work on rectifying the roof problems will need to be completed before work on the rear walls, windows and gutters is able to be completed. The original work was funded jointly by the Heritage Lottery & WREN and is presently approximately 45% complete. The project suffered further delays when after securing the funding it was found that the contractors had gone into liquidation whilst the work had been suspended. This has now been resolved and the newly formed company Burliegh Stone are able to complete the renovation.
