Success in Funding

We can now announce more success in our search for funding for the sports projects being undertaken at the Welfare: - To date we have received £133k worth of grant monies along with the Miners' contribution we have been able to complete a number of successful projects. This includes the installation of a MUGA (multi use games area).

Refurbishment

Llay Welfare was built in 1929 and is a grade 2 listed building. As with any such building the upkeep is continuous and this has been one of the main priorities of the Trustees.

British Crown Green Ladies Merit Finals

Llay Welfare Bowling Club are hosting the British ladies merit finals on July 12th 2008 featuring the county ladies merit winners and runners up from across the country. This promisses to be a great day with some top class ladies crown green bowling.
